French Toast

Here is how I make French Toast…

That’s sliced bread, (any bread will do, brioche is particularly good)
Milk
Eggs
Vanilla paste
Butter to fry it in. (I only ever use butter, it tastes better and gives a satisfying crunch to the toast.

Whisk everything together and soak the bread until all the egg mix is absorbed.

Fry over moderate heat until just golden.

Serve hot sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.

And a note about my cinnamon sugar, the canister is made of cinnamon bark, I just keep it full of caster sugar. It was a gift from my sister and it works well.
